About Us

We are a friendly and diverse neighborhood located near US 281 and Stone Oak Parkway. Within walking distance of the Village of Stone Oak, our community is represented by District 9 of the city council.  We are located within San Antonio city limits and must follow San Antonio Municipal Code as well as the State of Texas Statutes.

The public schools are located in the Northeast Independent School District (NEISD). Johnson High School is within walking distance of our community.

When we bought our homes, each of us agreed to become a member of the Encino Ridge Homeowners Association (HOA). As equal members of the HOA, each of us has a voice in how we want our community to look and feel. We rely on individuals to remain active members of the HOA, to read and understand the requirements that we must all follow and to report any issues that need to be solved to the property management association. The property management association (Trio) is hired by the board through an annual contract and helps to manage our finances, fulfill our business requirements and hire subcontractors to carry out required maintenance and services (such as landscaping, electrical and irrigation). They also serve as the main liaison for homeowner questions and account information.  However, the assigned property manager does not live in our community and the only way they are made aware of challenges that take place in our community is if each of us takes the time to report those issues so that the board of directors can work to solve them.

We also have an obligation to pay our HOA fees and follow the rules of the Bylaws, Declaration of Codes, Covenants and Restrictions (DCCRs) as written by the developer of the subdivision (Pulte) as well as the Encino Ridge policies

HOA's are most successful when residents work together. We count on members of the community to volunteer and serve as one of the required five Board of Director positions or on committees (such as the social committee, communications committee and security committee) in order manage the HOA and keep up with the regular maintenance and other requirements of our non-profit business. No business decision can be made unless a majority (three members of the five person board of directors) agree and approve a request first in order to give the property manager approval to move forward with the hiring of subcontractors, purchase of equipment or for any social event to occur.

We hope to see and hear from you on a regular basis.

NOTE: This website was created by volunteer homeowners in our community.  The intention is to help residents understand how the HOA works and explain expectations that we all need to follow as a result of choosing to live in a developed community.
